Three days ago, a multistorey building collapsed in my country, Eastleigh Kenya. Several people are sadly feared to have died while others are still trapped under the collapsed building. Reports emerged that the construction of the building was irregularly approved by the county government. We are seeing a case of institutional corruption whereby life-safety standards are compromised for political and profit gain. I hate corruption because this is a common occurrence in my country and it puts people's lives at risk. I wonder, if the political meant to protect the lives of common citizens are greedy and dont care about us, then who will? #food 4 thought
