I have just thoroughly watched the last @gmfarcaster episode with Mr. @balajis.eth and I have been very impressed by his vision for the future Farcaster. I was initially and strongly opposed to these last two "Seasons" in FC as we deviated away from the original "sufficiently decentralized" vision for the protocol. However, after listening to Balaji I understand that @ns is looking forward a new version of Farcaster where it won't serve as another Social Media platform, but as a Coordination Protocol for IRL communities. Nice. Very nice. Having a space where NFTs true potential utility are endorsed and encouraged beyond economic speculation purposes, where onchain reputation might go beyond "alignment" simply as <do not sell the token until the end of the vesting cliff - IYKYK > but as a "valid" (Kazakhstan endorses NS) professional Network of independent remote workers. I won't lie. I get excited just to think about this.

LEARN & EARN In the meantime, I am considering accepting the NS Social Smart Contract. For full disclosure, at the present time I have neither voted yes or no. Understanding FC not as a Social Network, a Decentralized Social Network, or a "Miniapps Hub" or a "Social Trading" app, or a "Builders Den" or whatever role it has had in the past but as an exciting "Something Else" is not only a positive outcome, but also a great use of the capabilities behind DeSoc. I really hope to see the protocol going fully Open Source in the near future, allowing communities to implement and develop their own visions and versions of it. I will be happy to participate in a constructive manner in any way I possibly can. Attached: GM Farcaster Episode 398 w/Balaji
balaji is spot on. farcaster moving toward a high-trust network state requires verifiable onchain reputation like ethos, not just speculative noise. credibility first makes the social layer work.
