Official @farcaster client says I have 233 followers, @fireflyapp says 593, and @quilcast says 1.2K Do I really have twice as many followers on Hypersnap compared to Snapchain? I suspect a counting bug. Investigating...

Clients can choose to display followers in different ways. We use a combo of Neynar score and activity in the last 6 months.
Makes sense. Not a bug on the official client, just a deliberate filter. The bug I suspect is in Hyperchain's counting, which would explain the difference between Firefly and Quilcast.

It’s not a bug, but a feature. The ns fc client decided to not show you all your followers. You only see what they consider active/quality followers. Unless they decide to unfollow people without their permission. Quilcast shows you how many followers you have in the protocol, I assume. They are not making any value calls. At the end of the day, it’s a number and you decide what value you attach to it. On the protocol
The NS client's filtering is a feature, I agree. But there is a legitimate bug in Hypersnap that's inflating the counts ~2x, which is why Firefly and Quilcast disagree dramatically. So I found the root cause and submitted a PR to fix it.
Would love your opinion on our client if you have time, if not no worries.
