I loved early Farcaster and felt I contributed to that community. I drifted away for a number of reasons, but seeing this focus on civility, teaching and building makes me hopeful. This initiative is really great, I love that it can shape and grow the intended vision and participants. But seeing only 271 accounts moderated makes me realize how small the moderation effort was(it definitely felt louder both here and on X). Particularly because there was no linked casts or reason. Just a blanket “account restricted”. Having been required to appeal, I feel a real sense of shame being included in that initial group, especially reading how it’s described here. It’s a sad feeling about a community I cared about. Adelante
