Life update: I've invested $15 in a MiiR Pourigami for brewing coffee ☕️ It's light and compact to take anywhere with my carry on only setup, and stainless steel. This is after 6 years of brewing pour overs mostly with a GSI Outdoors filter holder that I recently realized is potentially emitting microplastics through its polyester|nylon material

Snow Peak has 2 great options that are slightly lighter than the Pourigami. However they're a more awkward shape for packing. Right now my carry on only setup is right at ~14 kg with a carry on + personal item backpack. I've seen 14 kg be the max weight limit on regional discount airliners like AirAsia. The Pourigami is the easiest to put into one of my clothing pockets if needed for weight.
