A timeline of the evolution of the design of teia.cafe - I know our site looks like HAPPY HALLOWEEN combined with CLAUDE ORANGE (which is a thing now, apparently) but that was our ORIGINAL COLORS that we were using for a really long time! They copied us first! 🙄 One of the things I'm proud of in my design work is the "Adaptive Color" design, where it takes the color schemes from artworks and album covers which changes the color of the site itself. Normally "art websites" default to white or black in order to maintain "objectivity" but we wanted a design that was more "pro-active". With AI, I'm pretty sure it can be reversed engineered at any point...although in the past, I've seen some awful copies of this technique used in order to create some really bad designs because they had the instruments at hand but no understanding of how to deploy it properly. AI or no AI - skill still matters! But anyway, that was a few years ago and if you want to steal the idea, go ahead. If someone does it better than I can, they should - I'm really just sick of all the apps looking exactly the same these days. Someone do something about it! In fact if you want to steal our business ideas from teia.cafe itself (blockchain copyright registration systems) go ahead, too - I'm just here to solve a problem and if someone else can do it better, please do! I will come work for you, in fact. 😂

How we track an artist's work at teia.cafe: we use Teia's existing minting contract, and at the moment of mint we embed an invisible watermark into the file - code that doesn't show up visually or in the audio, but lets automated systems, including AI, recognize the work wherever it goes. If we can track it, we can protect it. From my talk on Tezos Tea Tuesday EP107 with @teiacommunity
I joined Tezos Tea Tuesday to talk about copyright, the Berne Convention, AI and watermarking - and how the "big problem" of copyright and IP could be solved with a combination of different technologies: blockchain, watermarking and AI.
