I’ve got a stupid question. So (if you look at my profile on terminus, I understand). You should be able to see that I opted to stay. (Considering I’m now going through perimenopause related insanity right now, it’s possible that I was just stupid and didn’t read anything properly) I saw how many good people got banned, and it made me sad, so I don’t choose to use farcaster (or network school caster) anymore. Really the code, the felonies, the restrictions, seem crazy to me) I go back in to see how to opt out, and I see that I can’t. How come you can’t change your mind? Also, I wonder how many people are going to now virtually disown me because of my choice? When it’s all said and done, I’m still thinking this whole network state thing sucks. Also, reading books about the techno elite make me even less interested in NS. My little mind is absolutely broken.

I don’t think people are blaming people for voting yes. We can actually turn that setting off. Most of the criticism I see is towards representatives or people who know better
I get what you’re saying. I have to wonder what will happen with those who are more “well known” on farcaster, who may be for or against. Will opinions sway and change? Who’s to say.
I don’t know. A lot of people will use alts and stay connected. Many won’t but I feel mostly zen and very optimistic I’m exactly where I want to be and with those I would want to be with in a real apocalypse
I’m also hearing you can you can request fc burn your yes vote but I’m skeptical. Worth a try
Homie! Just want to make this feature clear. The purpose of this wasn’t actually the intent to single people out it for making “a bad decision” it was to give people an option to see who may/may not be able to see your casts. (tho i did make a joke about it once). I explicitly have an info box along with it that makes it clear that you were coerced into doing it by an account lock. I don’t blame those that didn’t read it. It was a bunch of garbage. Hope you’re able to feel better soon!
So I read it the first time and gave up about halfway thru and was like yep okay this is nuts but whatever. I reread it after learning about folks like @catfacts.eth et.al. Being banned, then I went down the rabbit hole of this techno elite world of people trying to take over communities, cities, online communities to change culture and change policies, and started to realize how nuts this whole situation has become, and how Balaji went through, bought a network, booted a bunch of people who thought differently than him out, and then started paying people to essentially dance his tune, and it’s just wild to me. That said, it does give me energy (not today, I have no energy today) to start to make a stand, figure out how to make a stand, and so on. I went off on a tangent, but perhaps having the tag (or showing who did opt in and opt out) can bring important convos to light!
I dont judge people who votes yes but I heard the only way to remove the nft they sent to your address is asking them to burn it (yes, very permissionless xd)
